Wurlitzer Jukeboxes

This section contains 6 Tables covering 248 Wurlitzer Jukeboxes and accessories from 1933 to 1987. A special table covers Jukebox production by Wurlitzer GmB (Germany) after the 1974 closure of the "original" Wurlitzer Factory and Company. The Jukebox, Remote Selector and Speaker Tables included are generally complete and cover all major models. For easy navigation, you can click on the highlighted table name below

If you are interested in the production figures for these models and the serial numbering you can visit "Wurlitzer" Production Estimates ... if you own one of these machines, would appreciate the serial number to continue to refine the production estimates used on this site and in guide books. Definition of Table Headings

Model:
This is the "official" Model designation as indicated by the manufacturer. Model Designations can usually be found on a metal plate, along with the serial number on the back of the jukebox (or inside the case of a Wallbox). Virtually all Wurlitzer Jukebox had model designations. If no model designation was provided or it is unknown, a "N/A" is indicated. Most Models are shown with exception of some model variations, these are designated as follows:
Year(s):
Indicates the "Model Year" the Jukebox was sold. In general, the Jukebox was available in the last few months of the prior year.
Name
Wurlitzer did not starting giving jukeboxes names until the late 1960's. Names for earlier machines e.g. Bubbler, Lyre etc are common names given by operators and collectors.
Speed(s)
The record speed played (i.e. 78 RPM, 45 RPM). When "(33)" is indicated (1962-1974) the option usually existed to play "little LP's" co-mixed with 45's. This feature may not be available on individual machine you have.
No. of Records / Selections
Two columns indicate how many records the jukebox holds and how many selections were available. Wurlitzer models from 1935-1948 could only play one side of a record so the number of Selections and Records is was the same. This all changed with the model 1250 in 1950, when Wurlitzer introduced a 50 selection model 2 years after Seeburg's introduction of the M100A 100 Selection Model.
Dimensions
Maximum Height, Width and Depth as indicated from Wurlitzer's specifications. All dimensions are in inches and represent the maximum dimensions. In many cases, the dimensions for speakers and wallboxes was not available as original manufacturers specifications are not as common for these items.
Weight
The net weight of the Jukebox, in pounds is taken from Wurlitzer specifications. In some cases, only the crated weight was available, in those cases the weight shown was estimated by deducting about 50 Lbs for crating material. The weights for early Wurlitzer Jukeboxes were not included regularly until 1938 so the information is blank for these models.
